Land Clearing Operator Needed
Land Clearing Operator Needed. Are you an experienced Equipment Operator in the Land Clearing Industry and tough enough to perform demanding physical work? Do you enjoy traveling and working in different locations outdoors? We are looking for individuals that have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and would enjoy being part of a tight knit team that travels to various sites in both New York and Connecticut and works over extended periods of time together. Employees in this role can expect to be paid competitively and work onsite for two weeks at a time.

Equipment Operator 2:
You will maintain and operate various pieces of equipment on the customer’s job sites and at company locations.
You must be experienced and able to run and maintain skid steer, telehandler, and tractors. You will simultaneously be training to become qualified to run and maintain other larger equipment.
Minimum Qualifications for an Equipment Operator 1:
Meet all requirements of an Equipment Operator 2 as well as be proficient to run and maintain an excavator, wheel loader, dozer and skidder AND/OR be able to run a tree cutting machine or tracked mulcher.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Drives and operates trucks and equipment
- Loads and hauls equipment according to qualification status
- Operates certain equipment and tools on site and trains others on the proper operation of that equipment including maintenance as to where all elements and other items receive daily and weekly maintenance
- Follows Basic Machine Maintenance
- Oversees and maintains the equipment assigned.
- Discusses alternatives to help increase safety and productivity.
- Works with crew to meet the daily work schedule, goals and daily task.
- Shall follow all company safety guidelines.
- Shall wear all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required for the job duties.
Work Environment:
This job may operate in remote locations, void of sanitary facilities, in extreme weather conditions both hot and cold and precipitation, during day, and possibly in flooded areas.
Expected Hours of Work:
Hours are subject to change based on business requirements and per company policy.
